Edited by: Shamis Orzoz on 06/07/2007 05:18:04 Today at approximate 04:30, Davlin Lotze, of M. Pire lost his Wyvern in LXWN-W.
Ernest and I planned the attack for several days, and it went off without a hitch.
Thanks to Razor and all the Pandemic legion guy that came out.
Shamis
P.S. CCP thanks for all the de-sync's...

Originally by: R0ot Well played pandemic, but if you dysnc'd maybe the mothership pilot did also? But nice kill all the same.

hm, if everyone desynced then how did your op go off exactly as planned? a MoM that can't fight back, support fleets that cant get in to help shoot dictors, a complete turkey shoot thanks to ccp..
was this your plan shamis? I doubt it.
When our cap's jumped in nearly all of them desynched and had to relog.
Our dictors were able to keep bubbling. My alt carrier relogged TWICE during the fight, and he's not the only one.
But the dictors kept dropping bubbles. So we stayed on him.
He almost crept out of the bubbles at one point because many of our dictors also desynched. Had we not all desynched I don't think he would have gotten anywhere near the edge of the bubbles. We had 10 dictors orbiting him at 15km and a mindlinked claymore in gang.

Originally by: Mitch Taylor It is however a real shame that the dysync issue is cropping up time after time. It would appear the servers simply cannot deal with these sorts of battles and with more and more of these super caps in play and holding space relying more and more on cap warefare I can only assume the issue will get worse before it improves.
The sad thing is, I don't think local ever went above 100 people. Before Rev2 I don't remember 100 people ever being a problem.

To those of you who say its too easy to kill motherships:
- We planned the attack for 3 days - Said mothership pilot did the EXACT same thing in the EXACT same system, at the EXACT same time of day, for 2-3 weeks. Anything will die if you're going to be that predictable with no support. - He had less than 10 support ships when he initially attacked. - We baited with only 1 dictor and some battleships. The other 8-10 dictors were spread out 2-3 jumps in different directions - The main pandemic support gang waited 6 jumps out - The pandemic gang alone had 5 dreads and 8 carriers. I think in total we had nearly 20 caps.
This kill would not have been possible as a spur of the moment kill. You have to know exactly where a motherhip will be and what he'll be doing in order to kill it. And for that to happen the mothership pilot has to be very predictable.

TO CCP: Even if your logs show nothing, the current desynchs do happen and should be addressed with maximum effort. This cannot be the quality that each customer expects for his/her monthly fee.
another very vaild point that CCP is not seeing for some reason.
I'm sure CCP is aware of the problem. They like to keep quiet when the game is totally broken though. I expect they'll admit that there is a big problem once they figure out how to fix it.

Originally by: Davlin Lotze 6) What saved snigg et al was their willingness to log out in combat and log back in to save their objective from failing. I never log in combat. I guess that's one difference between attackers and myself. Perhaps CCP can send some signals whether premeditated logging in and out from combat is acceptable or not. I think it shows weak character but I'm old and very old fashioned in that way :)
Any snigg pilot that logs in combat to save his ship gets booted from the corp.
There's a big difference between logging to save your ship, and relogging because you are desynced. There's also a difference between being old fashioned and being stupid.

Originally by: Davlin Lotze You gonna start booting with yourself Shamiz? How many admissions of logging out do we have here? And there's no difference tbh....you left the game to avoid a loss.
Yes, truely ethical eve players all sit there and look at their frozen screen when they fight.

I also have a lot of respect for bobbits that hide behind alts.
